It looks like you should be able to install the BubbleUPnP app on your Amazon Kindle, as it's available on the Amazon Appstore for Android.

So the easiest thing to do is use a UPnP/DLNA controller on the phone or tablet, like the BubbleUPnP Android app mentioned by. BTW, what's the actual model (I suspect it's the A2)?

Your Jongo should therefore be able to be used as a UPnP/DLNA streamer, as I don't know of any Jongo device that can't. Nictu, I think we started off on a tangent on choice of file formats rather than answering your question. Tge good news is that the DACs in tablets are usually very good and with decent headphones surprisingly good. There are some limitations on the Kindle Android app store, but others can advise you there. I assume it is a Kindle Fire and not a kindle reader, which will not work. Even different albums simultaneously on each machine. Most smart TVs and Blu-ray players have DNLA services ,so if the PC is running and you gave enabled access on the hard drive permissions, you can play the library on any different TV or Bluray in the house. Using the ethernet wiring or WiFi to devices is an obvious method and you should be able to link an android tablet to a wifi network and cast to it. Then depending on the nature of your equipment, different methods for streaming become available. Then you finally have your library together. EAC is a gem for dealing with scratched discs, as it keeps reading sector after sector until it extracts the data.It doesn't give up ,but with a bad disc and 4 hours, you might. The best way us just to have the kit out and everytime you pass the computer, pop another disc in. It is unlikely that one will rip more than 8 to 12 CDs in an hour. Since the real labour is in doing the ripping, it is not nice to have to repeat it. It means that I can replicate everything within a few hours. My decision ,which I do not regret, was to select a USB drive and dedicate it to music.a 2 Terabyte drive is cheap and holds a lifetimes collection. I suggest you play around with a few rippers till you find one you enjoy. One of the best music file formats is FLAC. In my case I have used Sony Music centre ,which will link to streaming later.

The best software is the one you like, but Musicbee is very well featured, and EAC is extremely competent. I suggest staying away from iTunes ,which is excellent for Apple ,is unfriendly towards anything else. The software should read disks, read the ancillary data.say artist and titles and artwork an catalogue the whole lot.into a coherent directory structure.

Fortunately there are plenty of well engineered and in most instances free software solutions for the PC. So the choice of ripping software and then the database structure and whatever music format for the storage all must be decided. This will be the most labour intensive part of the excercise, so you will not want to do it twice. The very first is ripping your CD collection onto storage. There are a few stages in it and a few decisions. Yes what you want to do is extremely feasible.
